The Romanian – Irish Cultural Association was initialized in late 2005 by its president Peter Moynahan Papp, founder of the Irish bands Blackbeers and Shannon, he also offering the Association his vast knowledge in events organization.
The association’s main objective is to promote the Irish culture across Romania. Thus our portfolio includes an exclusive package of Irish productions including the bands Shannon and Blackbeers and dance groups The Sky and Irish Way.
After several participations at the most important medieval festivals across Romania, the association’s activity rapidly got involved in these events, soon offering a vast portfolio of medieval artists and assistance in organizing such festivals.
On the list of our artists you will also find some pop-rock bands.

Accessing our online catalogue at www.acri.ro you can find information about the bands in our portfolio.
Since it’s founding in 2005 the Romanian-Irish Cultural Association organized more than 200 events, some of these in collaboration with local promoters. Besides of hundreds of pub gigs we were heavily involved in major events such as two edditions of the Bistrita Medieval Festival, the first Bistrita Moto-Rock Party, the 25th aniversary and the lounching of the new album of the romanian rock-legend Celelalte Cuvinte and also the first romanian open-air St. Patrick’s Day Party in Piata Universitatii Bucharest.
In the future our association wants to be more present on all the markets mentioned above, continuing the tradition of the Irish related events, promoting important rock-events and offering our medieval package and staging for festivals.
